Position Description

mPharma is looking for an ambitious young professional to join our team as a Functional Excellence Junior Associate. The position supports mPharma’s Supply Chain team to contribute to the team’s overall goal of driving operational excellence in terms of Systems and processes across supply chain functions. The Ideal candidate will actively Interface with Products and Engineering teams to Scope and develop supply chain software products, tools, applications and solutions developing appropriately detailed specifications for product features so that they are clearly understood by the development teams. More importantly, The Functional Excellence Junior Associate will be involved in the  creation and  evaluation of SOPs and ensure strict adherence to SOPs by carrying out periodic Internal/Self audit programs across the unit.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Demonstrated capability to work cross-functionally and foster new and existing business relationships.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills through RCA and analytical thinking.
  • An understanding of general supply chain, warehousing process flows, Software solution scoping and Conceptualization.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP Systems (Experience with SAP ByDesign will be an added advantage)
  • Willingness to learn and expand technical knowledge.

Job Description

  • Assist to carry out Process continuous Improvement by evaluating on-going processes to identify key areas for improvement/modification in line with standard operational procedures.
  • Assist in on-going ERP implementation projects across African markets and post implementation Technical support.
  • Assist to perform periodic review and documentation of Supply chain Standard Operating Procedure and Policy Manuals for operational control and compliance with SAP operational standards
  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly Self-Audits which will examine current operational procedures and measure their compliance with standard. 
  • Assist to carry out periodic SAP system audit/process health checks and escalation of issues to check compliance to usage
  • Support to Drive Operational Excellence within the Supply Chain unit.
  • Assist to Scope & implement process improvement projects (in collaboration with Products & Tech) within the Supply chain Unit
  • General SAP/ERP Support in relation to the effects of all Supply chain processes/postings on Financial statements/reports.
  • Periodic supply chain metrics reporting for process optimization (Business reporting & Analytics)
  • All other team responsibilities as directed.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics, statistics, Business Administration, and any other related fields.
  • At least 3 years supply chain data analytics/inventory management experience ideally within the retail and pharmaceutical industry
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and familiarity with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and ERP and/or Accounting packages.
